African Languages

Welcome to the homepage of the African Languages section of the Department of Linguistics and Germanic, Slavic, Asian and African Languages. Now is the time to study African languages. The vast size of the continent of Africa offers tremendous opportunities for research and scholarly work. Also, in that the world has become increasingly interconnected and interdependent, and the need to learn about alternate systems of value and beliefs and different traditions of aesthetic experience and literary expression has become more pressing, studying African languages will enable you to appreciate different ways of seeing the world and understanding issues.
