MSU offers two study-abroad programs that are based in India. One program, "International Lodging Development and Management in India," runs for one month in the summer and is based in Rajasthan, a state where Hindi is widely understood, but where Rajasthani is the spoken vernacular.
The other study-abroad program, "Multidisciplinary Studies in New Delhi," runs for twelve weeks in the spring semester and is based in the capital of India, in the Hindi heartland.
Neither program specifically offers Hindi instruction, but both offer ample opportunities for students to hear and practice speaking Hindi. There are, of course, study-abroad programs offered through other universities and organizations which involve Hindi instruction. These include the following:
