Are you interested in learning the German language and knowing more about German culture? The German Undergraduate Program at MSU offers a range of language, literature and culture courses for all levels, including Business German.
The German Studies major (B.A.) is a valuable single major as well as a useful additional major or double degree option, including Education, Business, International Relations, English, History, and Engineering.
Apply your knowledge at co-curricular activities as the German Film Series and the weekly informal conversation group Kaffeestunde. We offer several Study abroad opportunities and internships.
I studied German so that I could speak with my friends who also spoke the language. I also studied the language because in our ever-growing international economy it is beneficial to be fluent in at least one other foreign language.
Studying German at MSU has changed my life so much, I could not ask for a better major. With it being somewhat small, after a couple of years taking classes with all the same people you start to get to know them and hang out with them outside of class. Study Abroad especially helps form close friendships and bonds that last for years.
