TESOL MA Student
Marisol Masso is from Mendoza, a province with a large viticultural area in the mid-west of Argentina. She graduated as an English teacher at the UNCuyo Teacher Training College in 2012. One year later, Marisol was awarded a scholarship by the British Council and the Ministry of Education of Argentina to work as a Spanish language assistant in a secondary school in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, UK for eight months. She was primarily devoted to help students- both native and non-native speakers of English- develop and enhance their writing and speaking skills for the Spanish GCSE. Afterwards, she returned to her hometown to continue working as an English teacher with different age groups in both state and private schools. Marisol has taught not only General English in different levels but also Environmental Management for the IGCSE and Language and Literature for the Secondary Checkpoint examination.
Marisol is currently interested in acquiring a deeper understanding of different language teaching methods, new learning techniques and their practical implications to facilitate learning in her future EFL classes. As for her personal life, she loves traveling, walking, doing yoga, meeting new people, learning about other people's culture and sharing hers as well.
