Originally from Lansing, Rachel Lin earned a BA in Psychology and Linguistics from the University of Michigan, and worked as an EFL teacher in Taipei, Taiwan for five years afterwards. Her research interests are Chinese as a second language, reading and writing, identity, Chinese language processing, and bilingualism. In her spare time she likes to do ballroom dancing, painting, reading, and hiking.
