The Center for European and Russian Studies
The Center for European and Russian Studies combines the various disciplines treating Russian and East European issues. The Center offers a certificate program in Russian and East European studies that includes study of Russian language and culture as well as history, political science, art history, international relations, economics, and related fields. In addition, the center sponsors films, speakers, and panel discussions that address contemporary issues of this region. Recent events have included a series of talks on Ukraine, a mini conference on former Soviet ethnic groups, and a visit by a prominent Russian cosmonaut.
